Guide Light Engine Deep Dive

This session introduces Lightmatter’s Guide, a high-density laser module product line engineered for Near-Packaged Optics (NPO) and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) applications. As bandwidth demands escalate, traditional External Laser Source Form Factor (ELSFP) solutions face significant scaling challenges; this presentation highlights why high-density laser sources are now a critical requirement for next-generation interconnects. We detail the Guide roadmap, demonstrating modules capable of supporting optical engines with up to 200T aggregate bandwidth within a highly compact footprint. The product line addresses a broad design space, ranging from 200mW/fiber sources for DR optical links to sophisticated 16-wavelength DWDM BiDi solutions. The latter utilizes an interleaved 8λ per fiber configuration with high-precision frequency stability, achieving < ±20GHz/ch absolute frequency error from the reference grid. Finally, we present performance data validating the transition of these technologies into High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
