Guide Light Engine Deep Dive

This session provides a detailed explanation of Lightmatter’s Guide light engine, a high-density laser module engineered for Near-Packaged Optics (NPO) and Co-Packaged Optics (CPO) applications. As bandwidth demands escalate, traditional External Laser Source Form Factor (ELSFP) solutions face significant scaling challenges. This presentation highlights why this new class of high-density laser sources is now a critical requirement for next-generation interconnects. We dive into Guide technology, demonstrating highly compact modules capable of supporting optical engines with 50T bandwidth or more. We’ll also cover the Guide light engine’s unprecedented optical output power, with support a wide range of link formats, from standard DR links to advanced 16-wavelength DWDM BiDi solutions, all with high-precision frequency stability. Finally, we present performance data validating the transition of these technologies into High-Volume Manufacturing (HVM).
