Passage EVK50 Demo: 16 Lambda DWDM Optical Link
This demo highlights Lightmatter’s Passage EVK50 system, showcasing a 16-wavelength bidirectional DWDM optical link designed for high-efficiency, high-bandwidth data center interconnects.
The system demonstrates chassis-to-chassis communication over 200 meters of single-mode fiber, powered by the Guide 1 laser platform and supporting multiple link configurations, including 16λ bidirectional and 4+4 OCI-aligned architectures.
What’s demonstrated:
- Architecture: 16λ bidirectional DWDM optical link with optional 4+4 OCI configuration
- Bandwidth: Up to 800 Gbps aggregate throughput
- Performance: PRBS31 data pattern with BER of 1e-9 or better
- Efficiency: Approximately 2.5 pJ/bit power consumption
- Thermal stability: Operation from 25°C to 105°C with high thermal gradient tolerance
- System visibility: Real-time dashboard showing link health and performance metrics
